I regularly use pivot filters with multiple items to select from and if these aren’t sorted alphabetically or numerically it is a nightmare task to find the items I’m interested in.

While there isn’t an option to sort a filter field there is a quick way to make this happen. In affect you filter the field before you make it a pivot filter.

Here’s an example of the problem where I’ve dropped ProviderName2 into the filter area and can see that all the Trusts are arranged in an apparently random manner.

If instead, we drop Providername2 into Rows

and then we apply the desired sort

When we then drop the field back into Filters, we can see the desired affect which is a neatly sorted list.
